Achievements:
His family is steeped in hurling: Adrians father Seamus and his Uncles Eamonn and Michael played with Tooreen and Mayo.
Adrian was the Tooreen Club Player of the year in 2009, the award was collected at a recent club function on his behalf by his brother Cathal who is also a well-known hurler and footballer with Mayo.>
Adrian was an unassuming, talented, young man who was never fazed by any challenge. He was the ultimate team player and was highly respected by all his team mates for his exceptional sporting abilities and his determination in all situations.
A large number of Adrians team mates and friends from the Tooreen / Aghamore area are living and working in Melbourne and other areas in Australia. Adrian and some of his friend were looking forward to coming back for the final stages of this years Hurling Championship.
The Tooreen & Aghamore Clubs express their deepest sympathies to the Freeman Family and we also offer our condolences to the family of Adrians friend Robbie Twomey from Kerry who also died so tragically in the same accident.
